5. Conclusion

5.1 Practical Applications

From our study, the data can be used for the companies making batteries to help decrease the amount of metal combinations they need to examine. These results can also help growing engineers determine how to produce basic energy in a broken down and unpacked experiment. This is because from the tested three pairs, Copper and Zinc, Copper and Aluminium and Zinc and Aluminium tested. From these three pairs of metals, we have already found out the pair of metal that produces the most electricity, which is Copper and Zinc.
From our study, our experimental setup and explanations can be used for aspiring engineering to understand a way to produce electricity, and learn about the chemical reactions of a voltaic cell, or understand how building of a battery is done.

5.2 Areas for further study

For our independent variable, investigation of the proton number and reactivity of other metals not in our setup of our experiment should be studied more in order to gather more additional information, in order to compare our metal combinations with other setup’s results. For our dependent variable, the study of chemical reaction’s characteristics should have been looked into more, in order to describe the specific step of process occuring for our dependant variable.

Introduction to Group E

Hello! We are Ethan and Sean from Group E! Our ISS Topic for this year is "Investigation of the effect of reactivity of metals affect the redox reaction of a voltaic cell"

The Scientific Method

The scientific method is an empirical method of acquiring knowledge that has characterized the development of  science .                                             It involves careful  observation ,  applying rigorous skepticism about what is observed ,  given that cognitive assumptions  can distort how one interprets the observation.
